After more than 20 years of active and rigorous research on many real-time system issues, the realtime community is still looking for the answer to a simple and common question: "what real-time operating system should I use to ...". The question has been asked by many people who are interested or even eager to adopt many wonderful results from numerous real-time projects. Until this day, however, there is little consensus on the answer to the question.
